Mike and Kim Schouten are the operators of the South Lake Tahoe Grocery Outlet. Mike first discovered Grocery Outlet while he was working for Brown and Coal. He realized how awesome it would be to work with his wife and in 2006, the two began operator training. In 2007, Mike and Kim opened the South Lake Tahoe Grocery Outlet.

Mike and Kim are very involved with their community. They support their local food bank, Christmas Cheer, surrounding schools as well as neighborhood businesses. They are also members of the South Lake Tahoe Chamber of Commerce.
