Say hello to Andrew and Carrie Baum, operators of the Grocery Outlet in Susanville, California! Before becoming an operator, Andrew worked as a Store Director at an independent grocery chain in Washington State. Andrew discovered Grocery Outlet from a former colleague about to open a new Grocery Outlet store. Andrew met with him and was intrigued by the opportunities at Grocery Outlet. After training, the Baums were given ownership of the Susanville store and have been there since 2007.

Susanville’s largest event each year is the county fair. The Baums are honored to be able to sponsor not only the fair itself, but also the 4-H and F.F.A. youth animal auctions that fund education after high school. This is Andrew and Carrie’s favorite way to help Susanville, but it's not the only one! They are also active members of the Chamber of Commerce, work with the Elks Club, the Future Farmers of America, the Salvation Army, and assist over 30 different non-profit organizations in Lassen County. In addition to holding wine tasting events for the Rotary and Lassen County Cattlewomen’s Association, the Baums are supporters of the Susanville Symphony and Bikers Against Child Abuse (B.A.C.A.).
