Say hello to Mitch and Linda Hebert, the operators of the Grocery Outlet located in Sparks, Nevada. After talking to their friends John and Tamara who operate the Grocery Outlet in Enumclaw, Washington, the couple decided owning their own store was something they wanted to pursue. They started training on July 1, 2005 and have been operating the store in Sparks since November of 2006.
Mitch and Linda agree the best part about operating their own store is the rare opportunity to be able to work with their family. They also love the chance they are given to contribute to the community of Sparks. They currently support local schools with donations and fundraisers, and donate to many local non-profit organizations. They were recently given the Community Partner Award for their generous monthly donations to the Reno Gospel Mission.
One of Mitch and Linda’s favorite memories is of a store giveaway. Customers were given the chance to win a $500 gift card to the store just by placing their name in a box. When the winner was chosen, the customer came to the front to retrieve their card, and instead of spending the money on personal groceries, they spent all of the money on pet food for the Humane Society. This is one of many examples of how awesome all of Mitch and Linda’s customers are!
Along with their two sons and one daughter, Mitch and Linda are honored to be active in their community. They enjoy giving, appreciate all of the customer loyalty around Sparks, and hope to be operating their store for many years to come.
