Larry Brown, the operator of the Grocery Outlet located in Lynnwood, Washington has been working with the company since 1988 when he was a sophomore in high school! At the time, a baseball coach took it upon himself to help his players get employed. He told Larry to apply at the South Tacoma Grocery Outlet and soon enough, he was hired on. He continued working with Grocery Outlet through college while he studied to become a teacher. By the time he had finished school, he realized he wanted to operate a store of his own, so after training, Larry took over the store in Kent, Washington.
