Judy’s goal in operating her own store is to make a difference in the lives of her employees and customers. She enjoys training and developing workers, as well as giving back whatever she can to better her community. Recently, Judy and her workers participated in celebrating the 10th Anniversary for the city of Kenmore with a store booth, free giveaways, and prizes. Judy’s store also sponsors Childhood Cancer Careline, as well as Kenmore city events such as Park Day, an event to clean up and support environmental awareness.

During the 2006 devastating windstorms, Judy and her employees worked to ensure the safety of Kenmore’s citizens. When one of the houses in the city was burned down, her Grocery Outlet was able to supply the family with everything they needed including clothes, food, and shelter. Beyond all of this, Judy believes one of the most rewarding aspects of the store for her is the Feed-a-Family program she initiated. For every dollar her customers donate, she matches their donation and the money is sent to families in need.
